SureHealth Sugar Replacer is a South African developed product and contains no Aspartame.
It is classified as a non-nutritive sweetener with a very low calorie value.
SureHealth sugar replacer consists of two major ingredients which produce the perfect sweetener with a range of previously unattainable benefits: The sweetening attribute is derived from acesulfame K, or acesulfame potassium.
It has been approved for use in more than 40 countries and by the American Dietetic Organisation and by the World Health Organisation and is a widely used non-nutritive sweetener.
Acesulfame K is an organic salt consisting of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, Sulphur and potassium atoms.
Acesulfame K is 200 times sweeter than sugar and has an excellent shelf life.
It is heat stable and uniquely, may be used in cooking and baking.
The second major ingredient of the SureHealth sugar replacer is maltrodextrin. Maltodextrin is derived from maize and does not have a sweet taste. It is the bulking agent acts as a carrier for the sweetening agent acesulfame K.
